Our Mission
Ana's Place Mission
Ana lost her battle with Ocular Metastatic Melanoma on October 11, 2019. Like Ana, cancer patients will likely experience feelings of fear, uncertainty, denial, anger, guilt, stress, anxiety, loneliness, sadness and depression. Without a great support system and the proper insurance coverage, their journey may also include economic hardship and financial burden.
The mission of Ana’s Place will fulfill Ana’s desire – “When I get better, I want to help as many people as I can who are going through what I’m going through”.
Ana’s Place provides complimentary comfort and experiences for cancer patients and their families, so they may have a chance to recharge, renew, and rejuvenate their body, mind and spirit.

Dr. Juan Gonzalez is Ana’s eldest son. Born and raised in Miami, Florida
Dr. Desiree Eugenie Simon
Dr. Desiree Simon, born on the lovely island of St. Croix U.S.V.I in 1973
Dr. Xiaodong Wu
Dr. Xiaodong Wu received his B.S. in Theoretical Physics from China’s Xiamen University
Dr. Michael Hall
Dr. Michael Hall was born and raised in Michigan before relocating to South Florida for high school.
Dr. Ivan Hernandez
Dr. Ivan A. Hernandez is the Medical Director at Fellowship House in South Miami, Florida.
